My biggest fear in life is having regrets—and running into a cockroach.  I’ve already had cockroaches. As for the rest, I’d do everything the same way. Leave my mom’s house at 13, move to France at 22, marry a Tinder date, have a kid and divorce.
I was born in Uzbekistan, grew up in Russia and, after going through postpartum depression, a divorce and several jobs, I felt the need to tell my story.
Getting up on stage to do it in a language that isn’t my own, but that I’ve mastered better than some French people, was totally worth it.
This show tells the story of a girl who tries to stand by her choices, even when she has to go to the park with her son with a hangover. A girl who dares to say what she thinks and live the way she wants. Free.
